I like how the two dudes at the back tried to clap but stopped midway

"Let us be quiet here."

The arrow: 'I'M AN EAGLE!"

Ok, for all those saying they can imagine thousands of these arrows flying durring a battle making this noise ...that never happened. This type of arrow is called the Kabura-ya which is a traditional whistling arrowhead. These type of arrow heads were used in traditional ceremonies or as a signaling tool for allies. They are useless as a weapon of war... would be cool to hear a thousand of them though :)

Imagine the horror of hearing a 1000 on them released on the battle field.

Shoutout to the bros who thought about clapping but stopped when they realized they were the only ones doing it. Relatable.

The awkwardness from that clap can be felt from across the room 😂

The whole place was so quiet that the guys on the back didn't know if they should clap or not.

I love how that one guy started clapping and just stopped because no one else is doing it

This must be Kaburaya (turnip-shaped arrow), an arrow with a whistle attached. It is already in use in the 5th century in Japan to signal to enemies and allies that a fight is about to begin. Some arrows of the time are storaged in the Shosoin, a storehouse at Todaiji Temple in Nara, built in 756 A.D. to preserve the temple's treasures.

I expected a “WoOcH” sound not a “FUuUuuUuuuUuu” sound

Guess life is full of surprises

I can't imagine the number of men from the Sengoku era who must've had PTSD when they heard this.

The dudes on the bleachers trying their best not to clap and cheer for her makes this one of the most wholesome things I've ever seen

I think the sound created by the releasing of the arrow from the bow is called he "Tsurene" and some might say it is a beautiful sound, in which I agree

also it also fascinates me that Kyudo is actually a Martial art in Japan, and there are 8 intricate steps to be followed, from positioning yourself, to getting the arrow up until admiring your shot whether its a miss or not

Japanese culture and traditions are really wonderful
