The PCOS one rubbed me the wrong way as I am diagnosed with it. It is not just infertility, it is also hair growth, painful periods, skin conditions such as HS and acne, weight problems, all the mental shit that those things cause and so on. It is not something to joke around with...

Alexis, one of the differences between you and Lily (one of many differences) is you're concerned about causing women distress, Lily is more concerned about how Lily feels.
Lily gives off masculine vibes which is one of the reasons why Lily is not convincing, and offensive!

What a stark difference between Alexis and Lilly Tino. Appearance, mannerisms, voice, presentation... I don't know if Lilly is purposely trying to appear as someone playing dress up but she comes across as "other" which makes people uncomfortable. Alexis, on the other hand, does not.

The PCOS stuff is not only offensive, it is ableism. For women with it, I think it's probably like a hearing person asking how other deaf people cope.

One of the basis of female socialization is that we are taught the need to please everyone and always put other people first. On the other hand Lily clearly was molded by male socialization, that taught Lily that their feelings and wants are more valuable than the comfort of others.

As normal, you are a voice of reason Alexis. I think what bothers me about Lilly Tino is the aggressive way she says what she wants. And it is all about her. There is no thought about what women might feel.

And trans women who try to tell us they have periods and PCOS is offensive personally. I spent years with PCOS, and different gynae problems before needing a hysterectomy. Someone with no ovaries can not have PCOS and it just makes them look daft.

This is why I love your content. I want to learn about the trans community as it is something I don't know much about. At 61 I am having to unlearn things first before relearning about new ways of seeing gender. Your attitude is so kind and accepting I feel I can learn from you without feeling 'got at' which is so helpful.

I have pcos. Just because we have matching chin hairs and you can’t get pregnant doesn’t mean you have pcos too 😂

That first person, though! I thought, for just a moment, he would recognize why girls and women are afraid. But its about him! Thank you Alexis for respecting women. Its appreciated. You navigated this well.

Im a trans woman with a younger sister who also happens to have insulin resistant PCOS (which she managed to get diagnosed due to my having to learn about hormones and how to handle doctors around the topic).

We share paralleled experiences and frustrations like struggling with facial hair, voice, body hair, sweat etc etc. We can sympathose with eachother but not empathise because theyre just parallels. 2x2 and 2+2 both equal 4 but they arent the same thing at all. Being trans and having PCOS arent the same thing in the slightest

When we see woman, more often than not, we see love, compassion, caring and tenderness. This is what I see on you Alexis 😊.

Alexis, I appreciate your kindness and graciousness. When you're critical of or have reservations about someone's posts, you aren't mean and cruel about it. You say what's problematic about Lily's post, but you aren't nasty. We don't have to be. You are a lovely, beautiful person who can be a role model for any woman.

I am very torn about the bathroom/changeroom situation. I have transgender friends that I have no issue at all being in the bathroom or changeroom with, but I know others who I really don’t want in there and are creepy (the way they act and the things they say).

Being forced to accept biological men in women’s spaces is I think the big issue. Women were never asked, but told. Unfortunately, it is a way larger discussion than just letting trans women into our spaces, that is too simplistic.
It seems that trans women are not asking why or listening to women.

Now that is a broad statement and is not for all trans women, because there are many trans women who respect women and listen, the loud forceful ones unfortunately are the ones that get noticed, get the attention and ruin what could be amazing relationships between trans women and women.

There needs to be solutions other than only being in women’s spaces. They often talk about things being non binary, yet want to be in binary spaces, and claim women’s issues as their own (periods and such).

As I said, I am torn, I am all good with my transgender friends and people who are respectful, but others not so much. Both things are true at the same time.

Alexis, I love you and Liam, your channel, your balanced way of approaching things, the respectful way you speak about everyone even when you don’t necessarily agree with them.

💜💜 love from Australia

I'm a transwoman I can't get my voice as light as yours have you listened to shayes voice of Amanda and Shaye since her voice surgery. Alexis I think Liam is so supporting to you. As a woman and man the two of you make a perfect couple.

Wow, Alexis, i love the non judgemental vibe you created with this episode. Our society on all sides needs this kind of vibe, thank you.

I really enjoy your videos and I appreciate that you consider the feelings of women. The narrative of trans ideology often feels like our genuine concerns are not heard or valued. Thank you for looking at the issues from both sides. 👏

I feel it’s the mansplaining that isn’t great! I’ve had pcos and severe endometriosis since I started my period it’s so hard so I do think when talking on it it should be explained with a lot of empathy and understanding! Happy new year Alexis and Liam hope you have a good un 🎉
