Nice presentation Rubeauti. Never knew that many mythic creatures or cryptids in the Philippines, In California we have Sasquatch or Big Foot🐵 that has also been sighted from California to New York. Hairy like an ape but walks upright like a man. Some sightings have reported this creature to be 3 to 4 metres tall and believed to weigh 300-400 kilograms. People forget that the African Gorilla 🦍 was also thought to be a myth until one was found in 1900.
In Los Angeles it was believed that a race of lizard people🐸 lived in underground places below the city. As a child me and my friends would explore the storm drain system below the city. We wandered into an older section that had concrete arches instead of the round concrete tube sections. We heard noises and saw holes in the walls of this older section. One of my friends went to look with his flashlight. We heard a crash from the hole and my friend claimed he saw a lizard person face in the hole 😳😮. He shouted and of course we all ran and found our way outside to the Los Angeles river channel. We never went back in the storm drains after that.

I heard about those creatures of filipine mythology . I was watching a Netflix cartoon called "Trese". They featured a lot of the Aswangs that you mentioned in this video!

I did some work in Maw Kler Kee; a mountain village in Northern Thailand. I was told there were evil spirits all around where I was working because the land was an old grave yard. There were no headstones or markers though. Children regularly saw these spirits. I had to sleep in the graveyard between trees in a hammock. Shortly after I settled in….all of a sudden (scary music please)….I fell asleep and had a great night sleep….that is until (scary music again please)…. the roosters started crowing. 😂 Those d@#m roosters start a 3:00am. That said, as I lay in my hammock thinking about what the people had said, I did think of a Bible verse, “Greater is He that is in me, than he that is in the world.”

Randomly came across this video and it was entertaining and intense. I got a little scared when you mentioned that experience with the Bruja and your grandmother, when you said you are scared to mention the name. For some reason that part of the video got a little too scary. The Manananggal looked very disturbing. Now I know the Philippines has their own share of mythical creatures. You got yourself a new subscriber.

Hi Rubeauti. Interesting stories. I have heard of a few of these. I have also heard similar stories from other countries as well.

That was wonderful, thank you Rubeauti! We have tales in the UK about creatures who try to make you lost and you have to turn your clothes inside out to fool them! Ball lightning and St Elmo's fire are both very real, although you have yo decide for yourself if they are magical or science! One problem in places where Christianity spreads is that the early Christian authorities tried very hard to convince people that their traditional beliefs were evil and bad so the old stories can be distorted. Stay safe from the bad things dear! ❤😘

Great job as always Ru, this was really fun. Good Halloween stories! I think most cultures have stories like this, we have the Jersey Devil or Leeds Devil where I live.

Wow Wowie, I will remember not to be out after dark now I understand better. My friend in Mindanao more than 20 years ago, named some of these creatures, and the white woman.. I hope to meet a companion next time in the Philippines probably around negros, so I can visit a Healer, in siquijor. And went to have any curse neutralized or removed. Absolutely believe these things and know the power.
Nice job explaining and naming the different entities. Thank you kindly for your open mind
🙏😇🙏
