Hello guys, today i am gonna show you how you can upgrade your li-ion battery pack. For my example that is parkside universal X20V Team battery pack. You can use this option for any type the universal li-ion battery pack.
Good luck.

It is very nice if you can do it (not difficult), a good experience btw. But honestly, with all the respect I wouldn't do that transition of 1000mAh. It costs more than if you would buy a 4000mAh. Now the process of upgrading your battery is what it is all this movie about... Well done 👍🏼

Did you reset the fuel gauge ic in the battery pack or is this a simple bms without fuel gauge? (fuel gauge= the ic logging the decreasing battery capacity and not letting more charge in than the decreased capacity)

Magnificent! It is gratifying to see how you managed to improve an ordinary battery and expand its capacity by 50% without visible modifications.

I have seen that some modify unused batteries to be able to connect them to AC with a notebook charger, it is possible to do it with the battery you show in the video.

There are times when I'm home and the batteries are completely discharged, I need to do some quick work and it would be great to be able to plug it into AC and get started right away.

In the videos I have seen the batteries only have a positive and negative cable, but Einhell and Parkside have batteries with similar structures.

Thanks for your time.

Nicely done! However you can buy a 3Ah battery for £15.00, how much did all this cost?

Great conversion but problem is that these 300mah batteries have a max 20A discharge rate. Lower 2000-2500 mah can go up to 30-35A discharge.
The battery discharge rate is more important as this will give your tool power.
Now you have 5x18650 say 20volt at 20A discharge is max 400watt discharge power.
when using a 2000mah or 2500mah at 30A the discharge rate is 20V x 30A = 600 watt.
Using these batteries the battery does last longer but your tool has far less power.

Does the 2A bms work with 2x5 liitokala (to6A battery)? Someone said the 2A bms not same as a 4A bms!? Thanks…

What glue you use for the thermocable ?

Better to wait till batteries are sold at 50% discount. I have joined two batteries together as they were selling them for £7.50 each

I've done the same with the 12V version, but the main aim was achieve the same power of the 4Ah version using less resistance cells, I used the Sony VTC-5, everything went well: low weight and high power.

For power tools usually use higher burst battery that is why sacrifice capacity. The cells should be capable of 20A discharge rate.

The 2ah battery has current limiting. Should have done this to the 4ah battery pack instead. In truth the Parkside 18650 are excellent value for money and have a 3 year warranty.

Watched it, understood it, absolutely positive I'm not able to do it... :)

Parkside batteries have a lower capacity than 18650HG2 but have lower internal resistance than 18650HG2 produced in China, so an original Parkside battery supports higher currents than 18650HG2.

Hi, great video. Do you have a link to purchase the round insulation stickers please.

Hi. This kind of cells are not good enough for replacing. Better way is vtc5. I have checked it view times in my battery. After a while of using capacity is going down so much that I have to replace it again.

i heard that changing battery will reset electronic and it need to be reprogram. Is it true? Also i heard that you can use same BMS to covert 2Ah pack to 4Ah.

Nice idea - but is it economical? I pay 39 Euro for the battery pack with 4 Ah and it supports Bluetooth and is with Garanten quality and warranty… so why should I take a risk?

Use your old battery pack as long it works - and then replace it. This modification could burn your house down.
