The customer isn't always right! That's right! I said it! Customers come in frequently & mispronounce things! We try not to be rude when/ if we correct them, but we're gonna start this series of videos showing the most popular mispronunciations We hear in the gun shop. We also hear "Smith & Western" alot... Just do research before you go on the gun shop if you don't know how to pronounce, just ask. it's always better than sounding silly! lol

I call my revolvers 'Cowboy guns'. It makes everything a Lot simpler than trying to explain the differences between Colt and Remington. 😅

We had an old guy that worked at the shop that used to mispronounce it every time. To poke fun at him when we reorganized, we used a label maker and put “Schmidt & Weston” on everything. He was mostly a fisherman.

I had the Wal-mart customer ask me at the sporting goods desk if we carried any "Clocks"... I sent him to the home goods section... He came back upset and told me he was looking for a gun made by "clock". I pulled out my phone and showed him "GLOCK". He then got very embarrassed and apologized. I told him everyone has to learn somewhere. Wal-mart only carried long guns, so i referred him to a local gun shop.

You don't need a gun, son. You need an education.

The joys of working in retail at any level...

Doesn't matter what part of retail you're in, customers always think they know more than you and they never do.

That’s pretty much the epitome of every customer I’ve ever dealt with.

Reminds of a friend. His wife know next to nothing about cars and kept asking what she dould do to help. Bro asked her to get headlight fluid and elbow grease for the axel. She actually went to autozone. Guys at the store gave her windshieldwasher fluid in a bottle omafter explaining the joke. She came home living to her husband saying she spent 200$ on headlighf fluid and asked why it's so expensive? His reaction was priceless.

I have had so many cringe questions in the gun shop, it’s always hard to decide which one to tell people about! Before I got out of the business I had become really sarcastic but in a subtle way! I would answer their questions very politely and you’d have to know what I was talking about to even detect the sarcasm! Dealing with the public changes you!!😂

I worked customer service for years, and hands down, the worst phrase from a customer was, "My Dad told Once I heard that, I knew I was going to have a hard time selling them what they needed.

Fun fact lot of people don't know:
The entire quote is, "The customer is always right, in matters of taste."
Meaning no matter how ugly, gaudy, or distasteful their style choice is, its always a "good idea". (No, its stupid, but take their money anyways 😂)

A "customer" is just a human being and as such can not always be right....

I’ve had my smitten western for over 20 years and it’s never failed me once. Truly the best gun manufacturer to date although it does get confused for the knockoff bootleg brand “smith and Wesson” but you can never beat smitten westerns internally suppressed 124 round capacity revolver shooting that 600 nitro express. Truly a beautiful firearm.

This is the reverse for me. I ask “I know it’s weird but do you have any 7.62x38mmR” and the gun store person says “you mean 7.62x39” I’ve only had one employee say “nah, we don’t have any gas sealing revolver ammo”
