Many times when people think about somebody becoming an entrepreneur they think about, day one they had a job, day two they quit their job, day three they started a business, as if it just happens in three days. But it doesn't happen that way. Most people start their business part time or they had a phase where they transitioned into going full time.

In today’s video I talk about seven items to think about when going full-time as an entrepreneur.

#1: A Proven Track Record of Selling a Product -- 1:34

#2: Your Business Revenues Cover Your Monthly Expenses 3:52

#3: Having Six Months of Expenses Covered -- 4:17

#4: Whether You’re Married or Single, You Need This On - 5:15

#5: Timing -- 7:50

#6: Guts - 8:50

#7: Talking About it With Your Family - 9:53

most all companies started as a side hustle, when considering going full time make sure you have a track record, be able to cover your monthly expenses based on your lowest month, have a real convo with your family on what you want to do, be transparent about your scheduling with your friends and family, no matter what you do it will be an ugly transition

Listening to this when sitting at work Friday night 22:45. Love your content Patrick, you are giving me lot of motivation. I went from not speaking French when coming to France to having to teach English 79 clients per week all on my own and ironically being originally from The Czech Republic. And I only have been doing it for 2 years and 4 months. Putting the hours in (minimum 60h per week, usually it's between 60-90 h), it's paying off, my next mission is expansion. Good luck with all your projects, Thank you for supporting us. Katerina

Pat, I first came across your channel after a Tony Robbins video had finished and my Autoplay was on. I was expecting another Tony video to play so I started to change it but your straightforward approach got me right away. Ever since then I have listened to at least 3-4 videos a day. This is THE MOST VALUABLE channel on YouTube for me PERIOD. This is for 2 major reasons. #1) Your content simply and eloquently addresses so many aspects of life and business #2) You are a genuine guy with so many life experiences who wants to share and teach for the betterment of society. I forward vid os to friends, family, and business associates all the time. I can't thank you enough for all the wisdom and the love you put into it. God Bless, Matt

+Valuetainment Patrick, I absolutely love this video. My boyfriend and I recently opened our own business, unlike my boyfriend this is my first year as an entrepreneur. I must say it took a lot of guts to give up my job and become an entrepreneur. I am still learning day by day thanks to your videos I learn something new every day.

wow man this is so working for me, I am working on starting a business and leave work again. and believe me, I'm about to resign for business for the 2nd time now. I did in 2018 and failed, stayed 5 months with no income but survived because I had a six months backup plan. I am current employed but I not going to stay employed for over 2 years. I'm ready for part 2. thank you

you are so good, Patrick! the sausage analogy made me chuckle a bit, that was funny....there are worse thing out there than making a sausage ( I should know as I was a chef, now I am a nurse, and do really unpleasant things), but this topic is close to my heart because I have just started my own business part-time and I am assessing everyday how long before will stop nursing and be a financial planner full time. my vision is set my family and I deserve more and I'm not afraid to work my ass off for it. Thanks for your content, I'm learning very much and your passion is great, contagious. Keep up your great work

Patrick Betdavid,
Thank you for the road map that Valuetainment has created for entrepreneurs and future entrepreneurs. I am going back to the basics and helping our sales team better understand what it takes to come on board PHP Agency full time.

Well said ... there’s never an exact right time ... but someone can strategize their move and set a time and commit to it....
