Idk if ppl really appreciate how amazing it is to have all this archived material available at the tips of our fingers. I used to listen to old time radio shows at midnight when I was in junior high on AM radio. Now I can listen to it whenever I want, skip episodes, huge marathons of episodes. Amazing!

As a 17 year old craving a different form of entertainment, I decides to give this a listen, because why not? Honestly I can see why people used to like radio dramas. Its like the earliest form of audiobooks

I'm 75 and remember the evenings we listened to the radio with the little red light at the bottom. We didn't have a TV until 1952, that was a big deal back then. What fun this is. Love to all..

I had to share this with my mom. Just hearing the first few seconds gave her the *biggest* smile. Seeing her beaming with delight and saying "the shadow knows!" made my day. She hasn't heard that since she was a little girl but still remembers it. We got to share a moment of her childhood together. Thank you.

I never grew up with radio like this. I’m only 27 but I’m really enjoying these. Thank you.

My grandpa keeps prank calling me going "THE SHADOW KNOWS" because my dogs name is Shadow...so glad you've put this on youtube so I can email it to him!

I love this. Brings back so many memories. My brother and I use to sit on the floor in front of our big Philco radio and lister to this and many others. That was in the 40’s.

My awesome Dad was born during the Great Depression one of 12 children. They were poor but like most households then, had an old radio. The entire family would gather around it for news & entertainment. In this way, the world came into their daily lives. He told me they couldn't wait for "The Shadow Knows"!! Today, we have so much technology right at our fingertips. He said it was SO GOOD listening by a crackling fire! I believe him.

My grandmother and I, shared a bedroom, and every night I went to sleep in the 50’s -60’s, listening to these great shows .

My dad used to talk to me about this show when I was a very little girl. That was in the 80’s. Thank you for bringing back those memories. Can’t wait to share this with him. Hugs to everyone here💕✨

I forgot to mention that we would eat our dessert in the living room while listening to "The Shadow" and also "The Whistler"! All of us were addicted to those two fabulous programs, and none of us said a word while these two programs were on. It was great times.

My late father always used to respond to my comment of, "Who knows?" with, "The Shadow knows!" I never listened to radio programs like Dad did(he was born in the 30s, I the mid 80s), but will never forget this. Likely why I enjoyed The Silver Shroud in Fallout 4.

You know how many lonely nights on the road as a long time long haul truck driver these old golden age of radio helped me go down those dark streets and getting the old goosebumps and chills the sirus XM the shadow knows and the Whistler and I could go on for awhile they had so many and before I knew it was time to shut my truck down but I was still listening until I went to sleep and now on my you tube God I am so glad I made it to the age we live in now

Oh, and we had the lights dimmed down low for good atmosphere, while we were listening to these two programs, "The Shadow" and "The Whistler." Two fantastic radio programs that we looked forward to hearing! Those nights were considered very special for all of us!

Born in 47, I was too young to enjoy these dramas when they broadcast. We probably wouldn't have been able to receive them anyhow in the Boone National Forest. But I sure enjoy them today. Thank you.

I remember listing to this show with my aunt when I was around seven years old - that was 70 years ago!

I used to listen to reruns of this with my grandmother, who listened to it weekly when she was young. Hearing it now really makes me miss her.
