A tutorial on how to setup Cloud Functions would be nice. Especially on how to test your functions locally. I've heard cases where if you mess this up and create infinite loops, you would end up having to pay lots of money.

What will be the different between these two.

1. Writing some APIs in any backend language saving data in MySQL database provided by AWS or Heroku and deploy the APIs on AWS or go daddy and using these APIs in frontend app,


2. Writing some Google Cloud Functions saving data in Firestore database and using Google Cloud functions in front end app.
