Fascinating. But I am convinced that this ship will never be built. I don’t have a problem with cruise ships of a moderate size but I’m not interested in living on a floating city. The town I live in has a population of about 100, 000. It has all of the necessary infrastructure and amenities so I rarely have to go anywhere else. I live within an hour’s drive from a large international airport so if I am interested, there is no limit to where I can travel. In other words, I have more freedom than I would have on this so called "Freedom" ship.

I think it will be OK for some people, but REMEMBER anything built by man even a ship of this size has a time limit and really of life and repairs in till it’s over not counting the forces of nature that can overwhelm anything you can think of !

I was in the British Merchant navy for most of my working Iife, the most time I wouId spend on a ship was 10 months. BeIieve me that's quite enough. From a safety aspect there are so many 'what if's?' with this ridicuIous idea, it'II never happen. No matter how many technoIogy is put into this 'ship' the unexpected wiII happen, the impossibIe wiII happen. This idea is best kept for chiIdrens comics.

Love that all the animations that are from the original launch of the project about 20 years ago. It turned out in the to not be built. Its not a really good idea in the first place. If you need to use the whole roof for airport the rest of the ship is really just a basement below the airport.
