Top 5 New Bows at the 2020 ATA Show

I shot dozens of bows at the 2020 ATA Show in Indianapolis. While my time with each bow was fairly limited and none of the bows had sights or peeps, I still ended up with a handful of bows that stood out from the rest.

Once I get all of my 2020 bows in for long-term testing, I will undoubtedly like some bows more than I do now and some of them less. But these are the bows that got my attention at the show.

Nice honest review, I wanted to thank you for all the videos when I saw you at the show, but turned away for a minute and you were gone! For me most of newer bows, Mathews, Bowtech, Prime, Obsession, have very minor differences in the draw, but hold and shot can differ. I think being fairly even across the board on some aspects is great for the buyer -- the manufacturers need to up the game in other areas, (ease of tuning, switching to rotating mods, etc).

I'm a Hoyt shooter myself, and looking @ this years bows, was most impressed with the Bowtech as well. Wouldn't buy one yet, but was impressed with the new technology for cam lean.

I bought the Revolt X, seemed like the bow of the year to me.

I shot new Mathews prime Hoyt bowtech PSE I was so unimpressed with the draw cycle of the black series it was so bad, I only liked the revolt X and Hoyt axius for hunting and the TRX36 and especially the TRX40 draw cycle and shot was LOVELY! My favorite draw cycle since the Creed XS so I bought the TRX40 and I will probably get a TRX36 for 3D or a bowtech revolt

I shot the vxr and the Hoyt rx4 ultra needless to say I fell in love with the Hoyt will be getting mine in a couple months. Was suprised how smooth it was and not quite as dead in the hand as the vxr but it still wasn't hardly noticeable
Not a lot of vibrations. But the draw on that new Hoyt cam got me and the feel of the bow have been a mathews guy the last few years. The backwall was solid as you said smooth as silk draw from start to finish the vxr was smooth but the weight stacked up at the beginning of the draw then slacked off toward the back end. Really didn't think I would like the rx4 because I wasn't a fan of the rx1's at all. And also good review. Look forward to some longer reviews on some of the bows

Nice little mini review. I shot the VXR and still ordered a Traverse. Nobody cares but, what ever.

The title should be "Top 5a Smoothest Bows at 2020 ATA show". The entire comparison is based on smoothness of draw and hand shock when shooting the bow. There are more variables to these bows which should be considered.

None of the new PSE EVO's even made your top 5? interesting. The way they are being talked about I'd have thought they would have made an impression. Just goes to show, not everyone buys the hype.
