1000 is pretty high on the budget end. Maybe 500 or 650 less. Glad to see Bear take it. Love Bear.

Went from a Bowtech to a Bear Adapt this season and the Adapt absolutely rocks! Great bow and unbelievable price!

I’m glad bear was on the list and even happier with the rank. I personally love the performance of the new bears and for the price I think they’re hard to beat

As a beginner, I really appreciate this list. Concise, informative and to the point. Thank you!

I started bow hunting with a Bear Whitetail II. Bear is making better and more affordable bows now. There's no way I would drop 3 grand on a bow.

The new Bear Alaskan XT RTH package seems like a great value.

Just bought the adapt rth. Shot Mathew’s flagships for years, last one was the z7 extreme. So far I have no regrets going for the budget bow this go around.

Funny thing about flagship bows is that I still shoot a 2010 Bowtech Destroyer 350 (upgraded to Barnsdale limbs) that I received from the owner of the shop I was working at (at the time) for $650 (dealer cost). This bow is perfect for my short draw of 26.5" with 65# Barnsdale limbs, and will shoot a 325 grain arrow at 300 fps. Their overdrive binary cam system was the perfect way to tune for perfect centershot, and I just realized tonight that my string is perfectly level with the Hamskea riser level, and sight bubbles. I took my Solution SS (a $1200 bow), and I could not get the string to be level with the riser without throwing off the tune tremendously. Right now, the cams point towards each other at full draw using the Spot Hogg cam alignment laser, and shoots bulletholes, but I'm not happy the way it is. I'm sticking with my 2 Destroyer 350s (one is a Limited Edition also upgraded to Barnsdale limbs). And like I mentioned in your previous video, I've got a Bear Whitetail Maxx on order, and it has the same speed rating as the Solution SS. So, why should I keep the SS if I can get a comparable bow for half that price, and shoots just as good??

Great video!!

Got into Compound this year after close to 20 years of trad archery. Bought myself an Elite Terrain and it's fantastic. I tried several other bows and this one fits me like a glove. Equipped with Vapor trail pro V rest, CBE engage hybrid sights and some short stabilizers its a killer 3 D Setup. Finished second place in my first 3D tournament two months owning this bow. Also got an 2023 Bear Legend XR for the wife. Finish is a little rough but man, it's a shooter! Great performance for such an adjustable bow. This bow even has movable cable attachment points, so you can increase cable tension on shorter draw lengths for good efficiency and solid back wall. And the draw cycle is so smooth, unbelievable. The Legend XR ist often overlooked, in my opinion.

Just picked up my Hoyt Torrex the other day as my first bow. 799 and came with everything including 3 arrows. Loved it more than any other bow I shot that day. all the shop guys were talking about was the darton consequence. Would be interested to see your thoughts on that one. Thanks for the awesome reviews. Can’t wait to see more.

My first bow was the PSE Stinger Max. Then I bought the Mathews V3 when it was released. I ended up selling the Mathews. I may upgrade to the PSE Mach 30 in the future, but that PSE Stinger Max has been a great first bow, and definitely qualified in the budget category.

....I'll be honest, 1k isn't budget anything, that's some serious cheese. If bows worth using are that much I'll stick with pew pews as 1000 will get a good hunting rifle and scope.

My 'budget' dictates i spend roughly $1100 Canadian dollars ($850 American dollars) on a bow every 3 years. This spring i went with a Diamond Edge XT and after putting a good rest, sight, string, peep and stabilizer on it i was up against what i wanted to spend. i have no regrets as the bow shoots great and hunts well. Good review, modern bowhunters on a budget due to life's commitments cannot, for the most part, afford to drop over a thousand dollars on a bow.

I think we have two different ideas on the word "budget". $1000-$1200 is the industry average for a decent bow. So to me, "budget" is $500 and under.
That being said:
- Sanlida X8-X9-10 (all $400 and under) are great alternatives.
-The Tidewe is a great budget bow at $285
- Lastly, you got it right with the bear adapt at $479.

I’ve hunted with a crossbow only for 10 years, when I picked up an adapt at the local bow shop, I thought, ”this can’t be a 70 pound bow, I walked out with it and can’t believe the draw cycle is so smooth. My left shoulder loves the bear adapt.
