I started crocheting a couple of weeks ago. Very basic stitches. I wanted to make something beyond swatches and came across this. It's beautiful. I really struggled and nearly threw the towel in but i slowed it down to quarter speed and it became a lot clearer. My first row is gnarly to say the least but i'm just perfecting the stitch before i start it properly. Can't wait! Super effective with such simple stitches.❤
Update: 22jan22 i mastered the stitches on my swatch and began my project (my first ever) yesterday. It's a wrap/shawl. Looks absolutely fabulous so far. It looks complicated whilst being simple enough for a beginner to do. I could never get on with knitting. I'm loving crochet. Thanks for the video❤

My go-to blanket pattern. I have tried many over the years and since trying this one last year, I always end up coming back whenever I want to make a new throw blanket or a present for someone (I have a tradition of giving baby blankets to my friends and relatives when they have their first kids)... it's simple and yet comes out so pretty with all types of yarn and color combinations.
