Thank you Dr Becky, you always remain calm and convincing. I've been disciplined and maintaining my weight despite the lockdown/isolation and opportunity to bake and eat. I do watch most of your videos because they are so inspiring, short and to the point. I'm looking forward to seeing your interview on the "No Sugar Summit."

Dr. Becky, I appreciate everything that you have taught me about living a better life. I started the KETO diet Feb 2021 and presently I'm at my desired weight of 150 (down from 194). the issues I have and I would like for you to address, I developed a trend of not wanting to eat. I look at food and I have no desire to eat. Can you talk about changing your behavior about eating, where if you are at your desired weight, you can start eating again. Thanks. Strasburg, PA.

I am, unfortunately, going through a break up with now x girlfriend and one of the ways I deal with emotional pain is to eat. I have, in a fit of sadness tried to eat my way out of it.
However, the overriding reason I have not gained a ton of weight (although I did gain about 3lbs) is a commitment I made to myself even before the relationship, is to eat healthy no matter what. So I watch these videos, try to maintain a regiment of working out at least 3 days a week, and above all, as little sugar as possible. Yours and a couple of other videos I watch keep me inspired regardless of what my emotional state is currently. Thanks for your commitment to making these videos. They keep me going when I don't feel like taking care of myself. 👍

Although I have never been able to cut out sugar completely, I have successfully lowered my carb intake overall. For me it's the only way to keep my weight manageable, now that I'm in my mid fifties. It does take a lot of commitment to stick to a better way of eating, but I am glad I started doing that. It is a littler harder to convince my husband, but he has made small changes and lost a few pounds lately. Thanks for all your videos, always looking forward to them!

This year I can attest to 40 days being an essential time frame in which I was able to change my eating habits if only to a small degree and maintain those changes. Thanks for reinforcing that and for the additional tips, Dr. Becky. 💖💖

I love that you touched on your Christian faith! 🥰
However, I do have a conundrum.
My husband is Mr. Fit and Trim. He quit tobacco and alcohol. He is law enforcement so he takes his workouts seriously to be fit for duty.
BUT! I feel that I can’t compare to this. We eat healthy but I see my tummy weight ( my problem area) not budging.
If I decide to do the 40 day, he will jump on board too. He shouldn’t lose weight. Any low carb will have him wasting away! He is naturally a tall, thin guy and he can get underweight easily.
One would think that a thin husband would be a great inspiration for me but it has actually caused me resentment towards him, which he knows. We’ve discussed it.
I do work out with him-but sporadically.
He has never given any indication that I don’t measure up to him, just the opposite. He is very encouraging. These feelings are mine, not his.
So, at the risk of making this sound like a “marital counseling session”, my point is, is there a way to get around the his food/my food issue?

Even though we are doing great on Keto over the past 50 days, I like the idea of establishing new and revised 40 day goals rather than thinking Keto is our life from now on. Biggest surprise on keto: how easy Intermittent Fasting is and OMAD. Almost unbeliveable! :)
