You did a great job purging--very impressive getting it done with your kids home! I love how you attached your shoe bag to the inside of your closet--that was an out-of-the-box storage idea! Your sister will be thrilled that you purged and she doesn't have to buy nursing clothes. Lovely video.

A suggestion I saw a while ago on Pinterest was to hang all the hangers backwards on the closet rod. Once you wear something and put it back on the hanger then put the hanger back on the rod correctly and after a few months it’s SO easy to see what you’ve worn and what you haven’t based on which hangers are still backwards. (Especially LOVE doing this with both of my kids clothes to makes sure they wear everything because they grow out of stuff super fast!)

I love good jogger style pants. I usually pair them with a loose fitting tank top and my Birkenstock’s. It’s a nice comfy and cool outfit for summer and can be layered over for spring and autumn. 💕

I plan on going through my clothes soon. It is still in the 30's and 40's here though so I don't need spring clothes yet. I usually have to do mine in sections because I rarely have time to do it all at once.

My husband and I just went through our closet too! It was amazing the space we had for practical items when we got rid of things.

I usually set aside a whole day just for purging the closets and drawers every season, mostly on the weekends because it's easier for me.
I just pull out those big blue IKEA bags and fill them with clothes and shoes and I just give it to a local charity.

We don't need them so we might just bless someone else with clothing and other items that are still perfectly fine!

It's so nice to see a non-konmari style. It isn't reasonable for some people. I've been so many different sizes in the past 3 years from pregnancy, nursing, losing the 50 pounds of baby weight over 9 months, etc. Etc.. And it is so hard to get rid of things while I'm going through process that all over again! I'm sure you can relate :)

I have a bag in my room that I am always putting clothes into to give away! Then twice a year I do my closet change-out for warm and cold weather clothes and I often get rid of things in that process too :)

Since I'm a stay-at-home mom who doesn't like shopping I consider myself a minimalist when it comes to clothes. So I can keep one side for sweaters one side for t-shirts.
