This is one of the basic knots we teach in scouting I’ve used it multiple times comes in handy

I use this knot in crochet and knitting 😅 you can cut the tails down to almost nothing and the yarn doesnt unravel

Similar knot to use!!! While using a cane pole and braid line, the double is great on the end of the pole to hold the line to the pole!!!

For tying off a cloth or tarp I use the sheet knot but for two ropes/cords I use the square knot. It ties exactly the same way with the byte, only instead of going over itself, take that end and put it over and thru the other side of the byte with the running end of the same cord and you gotza perfect stronger square knot! 😊
