My nursing school never reviewed the different types of needles so the first time someone asked me for a blunt needle, I was so confused...😂😅

Let's break it down!

👉 Blunt Filter Needle
-Lavender hub 💜
-Reduces glass being mixed in with a medication (ex: ampules)
❌ Do not directly inject this needle into a patient

👉 Blunt Needle
-Red cap & hub ❤️
-Used to withdraw medications from a vial rubber stop
❌ Do not directly inject this needle into a patient

👉 Sharps (regular) Needle
-Many colors & sizes 💖🧡💛💚💙💜
-Easily punctures skin to inject medications into a patient
