Please continue the conversation for health care for people nearing retirement, I have worked for 38 years, as a avionics tech / engine inspector for major airline, no significant pension. Too young for social security health benefits.
Im 56 years old

Health insurance premiums have increased 47 percent since 2013. 7 percent of that was in 2023. I believe insurance companies are not attempting to competetive but are takimg advantage of the ACA and are working in unison to keep premiums high. They can then blame ACA. On the other hand when the gov gets blamed they can just say its the insurance companors fault.

I make more money since I started running a business but my wife and kids are sick and need help. The health care plans are so outrageous I can't afford them. My wife and I help keep 10 people or more at times with a steady job but we can't survive and keep our kids with heath coverage.

So this bald guy retires at 33 and gets a subsidy? This is what’s wrong with all these gov’t plans.

Am I the only one on earth that realizes you don't need health insurance? And all you are doing is throwing money away?
