✅ Air Fryer Steak – Perfect Every Time
INGREDIENTS
2 Ribeye or New York Strip steaks (go for 1 1/2 inches thick)
avocado oil
salt

GARLIC HERB BUTTER
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
1/2 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/8 teaspoon salt

INSTRUCTIONS
Temper the steak by letting it sit at room temperature for 20-30 minutes.
Prepare the garlic butter by mixing together the softened butter, parsley, garlic, Worcestershire, and salt.
Pat steaks dry with paper towels, then rub a little bit of oil over the steak and bottom of air fryer basket. Liberally season steaks with salt and pepper.
Preheat air fryer to 400°F/200°C for 10 minutes.
Once preheated, place steaks in air fryer.
Cook for 10-16 minutes, flipping and rotating halfway through.
Cooking time will vary depending on your air fryer and thickness of steaks. Internal temperature of steak should be 130°-135°F/54.4-57.2°C for medium-rare or 140°-145°F/60-62.8°C for medium.
Remove steak from air fryer and place on baking rack. Top with garlic butter and allow to rest for 1/2 the time it took to cook.
Alternatively, turn off air fryer, leaving steaks in it, top steaks with butter, close air fryer and let rest for half the amount of time it took to cook.

My wife die two weeks ago from ALS after 8 months of fighting a never win disease. Marie and have been married 53 years and hate to tell you never cooked a meal on my own . Tonight I used my air fryer and did what u told me to do . I cried as I think about all our times together wishing she could see me cook this .

Have had an air fryer for over 1.5 years and only used it once for fries. Watched your video and decided to try making a steak in it. Ribeye turned out the best I have ever made at home. Will definitely watch more of your videos and trying some other items in it. Thank you so much!!!

Oh my goodness! Just tried your method and it was honestly the best steak I ever ate. First time in my 48 years I never had to put A1 on a steak. Better than any steakhouse

For a twist try the air fryer reverse sear method, when you have a little more time and access to a hot pan. The goal here is to get an insanely brown crust. Cook at 170 F for about 20 min, depending on thickness, flipping and rotating once. When the internal temperature is 115 F, use a super hot pan to get the brown crust on - about a min on each side. Look up Helen Rennie’s video on reverse sear for more tips. The air fryer subs in for the oven bit.

2 inch center cut filet mignon. I WAS a grill pan oven girl. New to AF but your instructions and yes, I got your charts…the smile on my husband’s face…….priceless! We like med rare. 400*/15 minutes, @ 7 minutes Shake/Flip/Rotate temp✅ remove @130* drop butter, rest. I’ve got the Cosori 5qt 1500 watt. Thanks, Cathy!

Thank you for sharing the tips.
I cooked one steak about 12 oz and half and inch, it was a little over cocked for my taste so the next time will adjust the time to 4 min per side. But with the additional garlic buttery mix it was delicious and soft.

O M G!!! I have NEVER been able to make a steak that had great flavor and wasn't tough. I did an 8oz steak in my 2 quart air fryer per your instruction in this video. A B S O L U T E perfection for a steak. Medium done with just some salt and pepper as seasoning. So tender and flavorful. Thank you again for ANOTHER wonderful air fryer video. I bought an "air fryer" about a decade ago as a kitchen curiosity, (I don't eat chips) used it once, and put it away, but about a year ago I watched a few of your videos and came to realise this is the most significant kitchen appliance since the microwave. Everything I've done (lots with your guidance) has been a triumph, I've since bought two more; the same model that you have, one for the kitchen and one for the terrace to use in the summer. As I’m doing college and working is so exhausting cooking when you have no time to eat. The air fryer it’s been a solution to my problems managing my time and eating healthy. Hello Cathy, I love watching all your videos because you explain everything so clearly. You give volumes of information and great tips to plus links to the equipment you use while demonstrating.
I saw you show a piece of paper with temperature listings and you mentioned and showed where we can download it but I've looked all over and can't find it!
