I wanted to do something like this, ended up getting another Hikvision NVR and putting it behind the TV, HDMI out to TV and done. I can look at the NVR screen any time with a quick access button set to pop the NVR live view up then use a wireless mouse to switch the screen If I want. Usually I just want to access the front yard cam so set that as single screen live view display. It just works. NVR's are cheap enough, I just grab a nice used one off ebay pop in a new HD and good to go.

Me hikconnect app me live view jab HD select karta hu.to video chhipak kyu jata hai.jabki mere yha network bahut aacha hai. Aachi speed ati hai. Basic me aacha chalta hai.
