This song serves both as a way to emphasize what kind of truly fucked up place you got yourself into and as a reminder that you are currently enjoying the slaughter of thousands of fallen human beings, almost as if we are in fact the bad guy without knowing it. I love it.

With the piano part reprising in altars of apostasy and the word "leitmotif" being thrown around without any intended meaning given for this particular musical phrase, i'd like to posit that the glory motif symbolises the scale of Hell, the actual fact that V1 is destroying the very entity it resides in, one The Father said even He couldn't unmake, the glory motif is both the scale of destruction, the actual cosmic uprooting V1 does but also it could be the acknowledgement that although Hell is suffering, pain, penance given corporeal essence, it was still made divine, by the celestial hands of God, even if He regrets it, Hell has it's purpose.

I love glory so much because it emphasizes the descent into madness and chaoticness, the true nature of hell, its insane how much emotion Hakita put into this one song

The first time I played this game it was so fun but.. I felt something was wrong. I just felt an extreme sadness and despair behind the music. It was like I had already known who I was and what I was doing. How bad v1 truly is, how Hakita almost sort of shames us for the games we play. How our bloodlust is ruthless and insatiable, how we don't care who we kill or maim. We only want more BLOOD. we just want to see the gore and viscera. Truly beautiful, and truly awful.

This soundtrack is underrated, even if it plays for a bit, I never got to appreciate the soundtrack since i was focused on the game itself, but now I truly see all the GLORY of the ULTRAKILL soundtrack.

This and versus are probably the best songs in the game imo. I know it’s not good to categorize songs in a list and be like no this is better than this and I honestly don’t like doing that, but Although I do love the entire ost they just don’t have the same level of emotional impact as this one.
