I can't believe knowledge like this comes free. Thank you so much, this was an excellent tutorial that helped me understand what you need to build an engine. Your confidence is contagious.

I like how he laid it out into parts
1. Fixing of the crankshaft
2. Fixing of the pistons into the cylinders
3. Fixing of the camshaft
4. Fixing of the flywheel
Very educational👌

This is the first ever in depth engine build video I’ve ever watched. Extremely educational and I learned a lot!

It drives me nuts when these big, great channels, still say, welcome to my channel. Come on man, you got a name. Say it loud, say it proud. You’ve built a brand, wear that name tag proudly.

I like your attention to detail, your thoroughness and cleanliness. You remind me of my dad who built street rods all his life.

I'm building a 3rd engine with this same video over the years. It's so crazy how free info is

What a fantastic video. After watching other assembly videos where guys seem to just throw parts at the block, it was really cool to see you taking your time to clean everything, check gaps and actually torque bolts correctly. Well done.

I’m seeing this 2 years later from when posted and I’m so glad I found a very clean 08 lancer DE. this video is gonna make the engine maintenance/over haul very easy I’m tempted to buy a used engine and completely go off of his parts list and specs and want to make the same amount of power out of a base model lancer. if this is the motor he put in his camo evo X, then this engine made 703 hp witch is mind boggling but for now I gotta see if this rod knock engine is completely toasted or salvage-able for another 6 months to a year work horse engine till I get the funds up for a build. it’s crazy how sponsorships and every follower helps so much I wish he could be able to read this and give me some pointers or just chat with me but none the less this was an amazing video!

This video gives me the confidence to know that I could do it but also the knowledge that I don't have the tools or space necessary to do it anytime soon.

Love the videos you make. Very descriptive, precise, and clean. It’s not confusing at all. Another great video dude. You deserve 1 mil subscribers to be honest.

Ok so by watching the full length of this video. I realized that the there isn't any seperate Spark Plug Oil Well Gaskets/Sealer for the Spark Plug Holes (usually located underneath the Cylinder Head Assembly) or on a seperate Rocker Arm assembly as is with alot of older SOHC models of 90s vehicles. The entire Valve Cover itself has the Valve Cover Gasket that performs both functions (both seals the Valve Cover to the Cylnder Head Assembly and seals the Oil Spark Plug Wells)...thank you so so much for making this video and helping me better understand the intracacies of my 4B12. now I don't have to ask EricTheCarGuy if my Engine Platform has Gaskets/Spark Plugs for my Spark Plug Oil Wells 🙇‍♂️
