You can actually see the camper you play as during the part were you play as lamu. If you walk around the area where the fruit people don't go to you can see someone behind a tree. You can't see his head so we don't what fruit he is.

After that you find the keys to your car and try driving away but you hear a sound then lamu jumps to your windshield blocking your way of driving and crashing and you die that's it for the normal ending I don't know the others

I think, if we put the sequel and hungry lamu together, we can theorize that somebody is doing experiments on people. Turning them into animals with human faces that look at other humans as prey.
