For those who are worried, If your computer does not have CrowdStrike Falcon Sensor on it, you will be fine and can continue installing Windows updates. Only systems with the Falcon Sensor were impacted.

What if you can't even get to Advanced Options to get to safe mode? After repeated restarts, it's a dell optiplex 5060 I believe, I get some options but nothing about booting up. Finger banging f12 gets me to a menu with boot options but the one that should take me to the "Advanced Options" reverts to BSOD. Unfortunately, my company's help desk won't provide their image of windows to make a recovery drive to get to Windows RE..and I can't just use any other windows image

Washington DC's Metro subway computer system and NBC4 Washington TV station were down. This is a global outage and affects both Windows 10 and Windows 11

It pretty much only affected people with "managed" (by their company IT) computers, of whom many would not be able to reboot in safe mode.

Can't get into safe mode. Nothing to do with bitlocker. When I get to the page to hit 4/f4 to boot into safemode it goes to a blue screen and fails to do so, starts all over

It was a pretty simple fix actually. You just need to do a billion times.
