The mystery of the secret Exo Mech Boss

Hypnos is *officially* planned to be an easter egg pet drop from the Exo Mechs, maybe a fanmade boss in the future. A little different video this time, more of a spooky documentary lol.

We host events quite often, you can even join a Terraria playthrough public server when it's open!

The Calamity Mod is a large content mod for Terraria which adds many hours of endgame content and dozens of enemies and bosses dispersed throughout the vanilla game's progression. The Calamity Mod also features several harder difficulty modes, five new biomes and new structures, a new class, a new leveling mechanic, more than forty new songs, over fifty recipes for previously uncraftable vanilla items and other assorted changes to vanilla gameplay.

it should be if you wait a really long time and dont pick a exo-mech to fight when the fight starts, and then draedon will say something like "So, you think you are clever stalling me out? Well... I suppose I'll fight fire with fire." or something along those lines and hypnos will be summoned as the first boss, replacing thanatos, acting as an enraged version of the boss fight and a little secret

The Hypnos boss in that video was made by YuH, the main developer of calamity vanities, who recently became a calamity dev too. They are also pretty involved with the wiki and documenting the mod history.
To clear any bit of speculation, Hypnos is never going to be in the main mod. YuH's creation is a great meme, and he may do whatever he wants with it.

i was literally looking at exo mechs wiki and found out about the 00-hypno boss fight. i was very shocked when i was not seeing anything related on youtube. i even tried summoning the boss in game with the bloody vein. nice that someone is talking about this fake boss (it would be really cool to have it in the game though)

Honestly i think it would be a good pre-moon lord boss with the backstory of it being a failed & scrapped prototype

On the Calamity Vanaties server developer YuH is working on making the Hypnos boss. The video you played of someone fighting Hypnos was made by YuH.

Being honest, a crimson variant for the mechs is a good idea, like a destroyer but brain and Thanatos but Hypnos, being able to fight a buffed version of the counterpart with draedon asking you if you want other challenge, that maybe that mech were on preparations the first fight but now its ready and stronget than the others, explaining the buff of the boss.

Just to fight it if you are on a crimson world and you want the "Spine of Thanatos"

Exo mechs 01 and 03 are artemis and apollo, 05 is thanatos and 09 is ares. Why is there no 07?

I've seen Hypnos before on the wiki and I thought to myself "Hey, that's a perfect boss idea". But now I realized that I can't fight it right now, so it's pretty sad.

That should be a boss that only is accessable and only shows up if you have a mod that adds a mechanical brain boss.

The wall of flesh exo-mech should be purple themed and named "Jupiter".
it would be the strongest one and before you fight the mechs you can choose if want to fight other mechs or you want to fight jupiter.
it would be the only mech that drops magic exo weapon.

ngl, if they did add it as a phase they'd need to give it heavy alterations to what was shown in that video, those projectile patterns would likely throw off the balance of the triple bot phase (at least, what little balance there is in that phase xD)

This has to be a next boss, cause I feel like it's way too big of a coincidence that they picked the name Thanatos without accounting for the fact that he has a brother named Hypnos, it's just the perfect name for the Exo mech version of BoC
