This is what 1 year on a GLP-1 looks like!

As I approach the 1 year anniversary of my first dose I'm looking back at how far I've come since last October.

Congratulations! I just started my journey on Saturday and I'm 43 as well. I've found a few people are being handed this medication like candy as a shortcut to lose weight, when I actually struggle to lose it due to hypothyroidism and postmenopausal at an early age. My doctor is always preaching weightloss and never mentioned this, so I had to ask for it. Hopefully I get results.

Oh Mindy-I am freaking out. I was prescribed the 10mg- my insurance is now requiring a prior I don't technically have DM2. My blood sugar has been elevated at 106 & 124 on blood draws ( normal high is 100), I'm not sure what is going to happen. I am just placing my trust in God to take care of me. I love this drug. My highest wt was 240. The day I started MJ was 234. My last weigh in was 212. This is the only thing that has worked for me- EVER. I do still have the original coupon. I never had to use it though. If it takes me staying at 7.5mg, I will. If it takes me paying out of pocket for 1 month, I will ( I read in a support group that you can space the injection out to every other week and still get the same hunger reducing effect???)- If it takes me calling a compounding pharmacy close to me- I will. I'm just not ready to give up I still have 32 lb to go.
