42 year old Blue collar roughneck here. Been working labor since I was 16 years old. Still to this day it's hard to wake up when that alarm goes off and it always comes too soon, but it's not about us. It's for family, a sacrifice, because we can take it, so our family doesnt have to. Great song.

As a lineman, I’ve missed my son birth. Missed his first, second, and 3rd birthday. This song hit the soul hard. I’ll do anything to ensure he live comfortably. May god bless the gas/oil field brothers.

Roughnecked 30 years. Worked with hundreds of men in that time. Greatest guys you could ever meet. It touched me to my core when that hand got a text from his wife saying she couldn't do it any more. Of all the different men I have known and worked with I can only count about 5 to maybe 10 whose wives didn't end up divorcing them, including my own. Many lose everything that mattered to them, some even their lives.

My husband is oilfield. We have 2 kids and he’s 16 hours away. The sacrifices they make are wild! There is never enough words to thank them!👌

I'm an oilfield wife, he has had hauls that lasted months, sometimes Brazil, Nigeria, Singapore. If he is stateside, I feel lucky. There were no cell phones or internet when he first started. It takes a strong bond to get through those hauls, on both sides.

Never worked an oil field, but did spend time waking the rooster as an engineer in heavy highway construction, so to an extent I get it. What a great song. “Trading my days to keep my family fed.” 🇺🇸

My daughters birthday is Sunday. Her dad will be offshore. We miss him but very grateful for him and everything he does for us.

They work and miss so much. Ladies, let's be kind to our hard working men. Even if it looks like they don't care, I promise they do. They work hard for us! So the next time you want to complain about them missing X, Y, & Z or that they aren't ever home...remember that they want to be there but providing for the family is everything to them. ❤

Been in the ND oilfield for 12 years, worked from floors to derricks now I own my own company, best career I've ever had.

I was raised in the oilfield. My Daddy was hardly ever home, but even from a young age, we all knew how hard he worked and what he sacrificed to take care of his family. New sub and added song to my playlist. Great song 🎵 🔥

Most people don't understand the sacrifice a man endures to provide for his family. Only for it to be thrown back at him.
Stay strong brothers were in it together 💪

I worked the Oilfields from age 18 for 44 year all over the world before retiring a couple of year ago age 62. The last 20 year was living in Africa both Onshore & Offshore, spent 9 months of one year offshore Africa. You are working to support your wife and children - but it gets hard at times.... Retirement is wonderful 🙂

Been in the oilfield going on 3 decades. It’s a hard life! I have been rag dolled across the floor of a rig by a stand of pipe. It’s a miracle I am still alive. I have a great wife and that meant a lot to get through being gone. The oilfield is a world of its own. I respect all who have worked or is working in it as myself still. Good song.

I knew an oilfield worker growing up. Toughest guy I ever met but would give you the shirt off his back in a heart beat. Family friend for many years, passed away in 2019. Rest in peace Roscoe.

As a vet and being deployed four times I missed a lot but damn right I'd never give up or get out till my job was done now I'm happy to say I see them daily thanks to all the ppl who as men don't get any acknowledgment for everything that is being done just to make those around us happy
