Don't know why but I found that deep inhale funny.
It's hard to let go but in the end it's just stuff. Really nice to listen to how you gave support by letting go. And sharing this machine with us, yes you're right the reverb sounds like someone walking. A donned out pimp for example, strutting around with his cane and goblet.
Sometimes it feels like if I only had this, or that I'd be happy/my collection will be complete. It never does, that feeling is fleeting.
Someone like you doesn't need all that stuff to make great music.
Now, time to search your music. To be honest it's been a very long time since I did.

I just turned 70. Without confirmation I would bet this drum machine was all over “Rock Me Baby” by George McCrae and countless other hits during the disco era😊

The font instantly gave it away to me as a Electro-Harmonix device. I love the Memory Man Deluxe.

Moby! Looks like a humbled guy parting with old ways!

I wonder why this machine sounds so good, especially given the fact it was produced in 1970s. A pending tear down for sure.

I actually had one of these. I bought it from eBay listed as "old drum machine". I fixed it up (it had been bashed about) and sold it for 4 x what I paid. Sounded great. The space drum was excellent..

Your legacy of music has been a big part of the soundtrack to my life. From “Next is the E” to “Power is taken” and beyond. I still listen to “Ambient” on a regular basis. There’s something organic about it all. An inspiration to millions and as a wannabe electronic musician myself, I love when artists talk about gear they love. I have a few pieces of my own that I won’t sell no matter how much I may need the money. Thanks for sharing this.

He likes that drum machine so much because of the way it makes him feel and the nostalgia and memories attached to it. Not just because of how it sounds or looks.

You are still one of the most influential musicians I’ve ever listened to. Play came out when I was in elementary school and I listened to it over and over with my mom on road trips.

Thanks for sharing one of your favorite pieces of gear! I built a little studio in my bedroom to make ambient/jungle and love hearing what rare pieces are in your collection

Hunny you aren’t old!
The package we came in might feel different and show our life’s story in our deepened smile lines, but as my 91 year old mom said “we all are still that little kid inside. Still full of wonderment and the joy of life “
I walked the streets of my town in the 70s too and totally feel the sound of that decade.
Some of my very most favorite memories.
Now you are part of soo many ypeople’s great memories ! Soo many!
I can’t listen to Play without getting up and dancing and thinking of what a great time in my life that period was.
And that’s just one of your masterpieces.
Merry Christmas 🎄 and lots of joy and love to you maestro ♥️💚♥️💚♥️

MOBILITY is my favourite track you ever made.
.
And I love a lot of the rest...
Colin Dale and Colin Faver loved this track way back into that time...
Both mixes are mind altering without drugs?

The late 80s and early 90s were scarily great ❤

Love this cool old gear. I am so glad I hung on to my Boss DR-5 drum machine from the early 90s. Nothing crazy but still, it's a lot of fun.
