The Artistic Evolution Of Hunter X Hunter
Leorio's Speech to Ging

Manga and 1999 are like "I'm sorry, but I can't intervene. This is Gon's fight and he wouldn't want that", 2011 is like "don't care lmao"

He bent through time and space in all 3 dimensions to perfect the sigma Male stare

I think what makes the 2011 version uncanny compared to the manga is that in the original the perspective of his face and eyes are kinda skewed to the right. Meanwhile in the anime they’re just staring straight at the viewer like they’re completely symmetrical. It’s very uncanny but hilarious.

I find it interesting that both adaptations of the manga decided that this panel was integral to the story.

manga: indifference
1999: cares for gon but wont stop him
2011: is either lobotomized or extremely horny

didn’t realize how close vash from trigun and leorio look alike

It took two decades to finally find the perfect Leorio stare

The restraint Leorio and Kurapika had to stand there and watch Gon get his ass beat by Canary all day without interfering is crazy. Canary was beating tf outta him for hours straight, from morning to sunset, and Leorio and Kurapika didn't help him because they knew he was trying to prove a point to Canary by getting fucked up by her😂

Idk why I'm just noticing this but the glasses are just accessories, he isn't using it
Wu-Zi-Mu
in the manga he just looks so cute for no reason😭😭
Badinternet
Not only is he staring right into your soul but the shading and everything is just so ethereal it's horrifying but enchanting
Kuffkuff
bro bout to say most racial slurs to ever existed unironically 💀💀
legitbuzhuh
For some reason, I saw his glasses like they're his eyes and got a good laugh
greenswag
He's just standing there menacingly.

I love how all three versions of this scene, manga, 1999, and 2011 all kept this exact same scene in, and it’s structured the same way all three times. It’s preserved perfectly all three times.
MonkeyMan.
the lighting definetly makes it way more colder

"One day he'll learn this is what 'find out' means..."
