Terribly sorry for the bad audio quality, this lenovo's mic was straight garbage.

I also wanted to mention that when adjusting AC/DC LL you still need to stress test in order to ensure you're stable.

How come Intel didn't have some long term tests running in their lab that would have shown this issue?!
How come they let some motherboards manufacturers implement wrong CPU specs?! They should have some kind of "certification process".
What the hell is happening witht the QC department at Intel??

That PR statement seems like a bunch of damage control. I dont think its the end of this story and of course they had to answer about the oxydation claims only on reddit and not on their website.

i doubt this is the whole story. we will see.

on my second 14900KS, i'd like money back- again.

they should just make 15th gen LGA1700 compatible and move on from this failed gen.

"These are not the droids you're looking for"

Good luck reselling any 14th gen in a couple of years.

They're the new "mined on" chips.
You'll see things like "always run at Intel stock", "never over 1.25v" on many ads.

Intended effect of Intel: blame users. People will think "users broke their machines". Just like Nvidia blamed users for not plugging their 4090 correctly when the very design was allowing it. Shit move.

I’ve been running a LLc 7 with a undervolt and svid running at best case scenario I never go passed 1.35 never have had stability issues

I'm on a i7-13700KF since early September 2023, haven't had any issues yet as far as I know, but at this point, if that's really the case, I just won't use or even switch on my computer till late August.

So to summarize... Intel is just buying time, your 13 and 14th gen cpu's WILL eventually fail. The fix required is going to gimp performance. The extra you paid for your "K" series cpu is down the toilet. Remember that all benchmarks done with the 13th an 14th gen have to be re done after the patch. What you will find is the intel cpu''s will get hammered. This is a hardware issue and intel has nothing to replace the affected chips with except for more defective chips so they are trying to at least control the RMA flow for now.

I've tested my 13700F in various games and a couple of stress tests. It works perfectly stable for me, never consuming above 1.3V / 221W. I wonder if the F series are slightly less vulnerable.

Rma? Change my faulty cpu with another faulty one?
What I need is refund from Intel and exchange program from MB manufacturer..

Does this problem occurs only on Desktop chips or also for 13\14 th gen laptop processors ?

do laptop that has intel 13th gen and 14th gen included to this voltage fault and oxidation?

Thanks for the updates man. Unfortunately for me, I use dell xps and I can’t access that information from my bios for whatever reason.

My computer was crashing atleast once a day. My games were crashing to desktop with no errors. 13900k and asus z790 motherboard. I found out from a Jayz video that the motherboard was not limiting power to the cpu. Updated the bios to the latest version, and downgraded from win11 to win10. I verified the bios values matched intel's recommendations. I have not had a single crash since I did that.

i can confirm that the values with undervolt 0.05 and pl1/2 253W work flawlessly on my system too

I just RMA’d my 14900k, guess I’ll keep it at Intel’s recommended bios settings and under volted while waiting for mid August stuff.

Thx for the Reddit post, Intel

Where is my money?

"Intel" lets blame Incorrect microcode for high voltage and pretend to be incompetent in how we operates, some how that will make it look better.
