I said the same when listening to the arguments. I'm glad someone on national news finally noticed and said this.

If it was "one person one vote", the Republican party would never govern again at the federal level.

The constitution was never meant to allow for a sustained minority rule which is what we have now with both the electoral college and gerrymandering.

Electoral College should have been gone.

Should have gotten rid of it at the turn of the century

The Electoral College should have been dealt with at the end of the Civil War!!!

Exactly. The electoral college needs to go. That's definitely not one person, one vote.

Honestly, that would give third-party candidates a chance if it was based on the popular vote.

The Electoral college thing is the strangest system to be used in a democracy. What a different world we would live in if Al Gore had been President of the USA instead of Bush.

You are absolutely right! We, the people, have to ban together and demand the eradication of the electoral college.

Letting the state choose whos on the ballot would still disenfranchise voters. But the electoral college should go.

When you can win the popular vote and lose in the electoral college; something’s amiss

If Corporations have Rights, the Supreme Court ruled that, STATES should have States Rights too

Abolish the electoral college. Either you win the popular vote, or it should trigger a new primary so the party or parties can come up with a better candidate that meets the approval of We The People. Otherwise, We The People are not the ones manifesting our own destiny and choosing our own leaders. Our leaders are chosen by corporations who pay no taxes. We need a vote of no confidence, that can take place at any time during a political term to remove politicians who don't keep their oath.

Amen. Get rid of the electoral college. One person, one vote.

True what's the point of voting if it doesn't count

No where in the constitution is democracy mentioned. We are a republic. Democracy remains in the States. To make a change it will take 33 States to vote affirmative for any constitutional ratification.

Apparently these people have no clue what a Republic is
