So what is the difference between the capsule 3 gtv and the air?

Tha tripod is useless for anything but a flat surface due to that extra long "center column/battery" which will get in the way. Imagine putting it on an incline or non flat surface, you cannot extend or adjust any of the single legs to compensate due to the center column/battery and the locking system.

The new Capsule air being advertised is a step down from the existing Capsule 3 laser. It's only 720p for goodness sake. I guess Nebula is trying to market a cheaper alternative so more people can buy. I've been using the Capsule 3 laser for 1yr now as my daily TV. It's fine in a dark room but it's not bright enough for daytime viewing even with curtains shut. One day I'd like to buy a 4k projector with at least 1000 lumens but I want it as small as the Capsule 3. So that probably wont happen in this decade.

I bought something similar to use in my bedroom. But to my dismay the fan noise from these projectors are a no no in that application. Yes, oudoors, yes in a livingroom with lots of ambient noise.So until these projectors loose the fan noise, I will not be buying one again.
