When iPadOS initially came out, I was so excited to be able to use a mouse and my Magic Mouse 2 had to be connected via Switch Control, as you just did. unfortunately, I then bluetoothed my mouse to my MacBook Pro and even though I forgot the device on my Mac and trurned bluetooth off and shut it down, after that, I could not use the Magic Mouse 2 on my iPad but obviously, I’d done an update in between. I have been spending hours and hours trying to get it to work again but the Bluetooth devices under Switch Control would not discover my mouse anymore. I tried hundreds of different things, literally. Thank you for letting me know that no matter what I do, it will not work in 13.3 and I can stop wasting my time!! Amazing that it’s impossible to connect Apple’s own product to an Apple device. Just goes to show how Apple is so keen on releasing new features before getting rid of bugs, like they used to in the old days so it looks like they’re ahead of the competition but they are slipping further and further behind in the quality of their hardware and software and yet we still pay an enormous premium for their products. Apple is dying and from where I sit, so many people are so frustrated with Apple these days that Apple’s death may come very quickly a shame. Had they stuck to their values and ethics from years ago, they’d still be on top of the world, far exceeding their competition and people would never switch to another provider. The new CEO (Tim Cook?) is a complete idiot. He cannot raise the share price by creating more and more inferior products and at the same time, the gap between the cost of Apple products and all of their competition keeps widening all the time. Seriously bad business practice. Maybe he’s intentionally trying to bring Apple to it’s knees because his business tactics are the opposite of what they should be. They don’t even pay ANY tax in most countries!!!! You’d think that alone would be enough to price their products according to their actual

I bought a Magic Mouse 2 to use with my iPad. Since it didn’t work, I returned it and bought an Insignia Bluetooth mouse that works great, and it’s much cheaper.

Magic Mouse (first version) on iPad Pro 10.5 started working on 13.4, however only as a pointer. The right click, left click on the mouse doesn’t work unless I program in Accessibility under assistive touch. The swipe and scroll function can’t be programmed due to no ‘click’ to trigger it, and it doesn’t just work, despite being made by the same company. Disappointing.

I’m so glad you’re having the same issue I’m having, iOS 13.3 Apple disable the Magic Mouse 2 hopefully iOS 13.3.1 or 13.4 will fix this issue.

13.4 which comes out March 24 will support Magic Mouse 2 connected via Bluetooth...it is not buried under assistive touch either. If you get on their beta software program you can try it out today without waiting. I just did it today and it works!

I returned my Magic Mouse and got my self a Logitech mouse and so far is working awesomely. It’s a shame that a product of apple doesn’t work with there own product and that they haven’t even correct the problem yet.

I appreciate your persistence. I have a relatively new (not newest) 27" Mac and the Magic Mouse even has glitches with this desktop. When I plug in the Apple cable to charge the mouse, the desktop loses the mouse, so I can't work while charging. I also can't see charge updates, so I have to guess & unplug the mouse to see progress. Finally, when the mouse is charged, and I unplug the cable, I have to futz around with the mouse, or even reboot the desktop to re-sync the mouse. This is not a problem with the wireless keyboard. I haven't reported to Apple, b/c like you, I imagine it is a software issue that may get fixed with updates ... And, my time and frustration on the phone is not worth the trouble. I had these problems in High Sierra and in Mojave, but I have not yet updated to Catalina ... so it may be fixed ... or may be worse. I hesitate to upgrade to Catalina b/c I have some 32-bit software (PS Elements 12- paid-for! ) that may not work in Catalina. "Up-grading" Elements will be a monthly cost that is Not worth the added expense. Thanks for continuing the good fight!!!

I connected mine just through “Bluetooth” in the settings and turned the “Accessibility” setting on for my 2018 iPad pro and Magic Mouse 2

You are not alone, same thing happened to me when I upgraded to iOS 13.3. The fact Apple has had so many issues allowing their own mouse to connect just like any other mouse is absolutely ridiculous. Plus the fact they buried it under the accessibility settings is even more so, and this is coming from someone who actually has a disability! I use the mouse to pan around the screen when I have zoom enabled.

Hi I am having iPad Pro 2018 running iOS 13.3 and the Magic Mouse is working. In order to connect it you go to accessibility then go to switches then switches again and then Bluetooth devices.

You are so right. I spent over an hour at the Apple store with this same problem on New Year’s Day.The engineers at the Genius Bar couldn’t figure out the problem. I suggested to them that it might be a problem with the newest software update. I had to return the mouse
