LOL - well that's the quickest capacitor removal I've ever seen!

Northridge fix always talked about not going down a rabbits hole. I reckon this was a great example of that.

Thank you for spending more than 10 minutes on this attempt, it showed us when to quit. This laptop goes into the donor pile. 🙂

You Sherlock Holmes of electronics repair 👍.

I am watching your videos to get inspiration to start repairing my old HP notebook, which I successfully broke down recently.

However, I struggle between ordering a replacement MB from eBay or spend some time to repair my own MB. That’s a dilemma 😁

My Monday? Drop off two printers. One fixed, one not worth fixing (even though I tried). Fixed someone's Outlook email password onsite. Revisit a tablet repair, was not turning on, now not turning off (they'd chimped the power button again). Send iPad 12.9 for UV gluing screen (can't do that here), Lined up imac and laptop upgrades to ssd etc. for tomorrow. Also some web stuff I get paid for. 'Nuff I think. Sorin time 😀

I learned so much with this video, troubleshooting and figuring out the problem is awesome, if it can't be repaired is a different history. Thanks sorin for share with us that knowledge.

Sorin, you didn't plug in the power button - there is a tiny flex under the fan, you plugged in a board with VGA port
