House paid off June 27th 2020. Baby step 7 here. I’m now a homeowner instead of a loan owner.

We’ve heard this rant by Dave so many other times, but the message never gets old.

The fact that the percent of people living paycheck to paycheck is the same regardless of your income bracket just shows that "normal" isn't a great standard

I used to live paycheck to paycheck, after standing in line for 3 hours at chase and opening an account, I now live direct deposit to direct deposit.

"The Credit Card is the modern day cigarette." That is the statement that got me to watch Dave Ramsey, "Wierd is Good" is another great financial quote.

Gonna be really honest, I thought it was going to be hard to save money. This was the year I was going to tell my friends, “sorry ladies but I’m staying home to save money.” I knew I was going to have pushback (which I did) but then the pandemic happened and then all the events were canceled and we were all forced to stay home.

But Dave, I’ve accumulated $5, 000 by staying home for the past 4 months. NOT including the $1, 200- which 100% went directly to my extended family with kids and to my grandparents.

Now that I’ve had a taste of how good it feels to save money, I’m definitely going to do this long past the quarantine. Having money AND being able to give charitably really IS the best darn feeling! ✨💜✨
