Hi Jack. A few questions if you don't mind. What sorts of things can you get away with using a calculator for in the exam? Suppose we were given an eigenvalue/eigenvector question and I just quoted the eigenvalues and eigenvector without any workings would I be marked down? I've noticed that you often use your classwiz calculator to solve simultaneous equations and higher polynomials, is there anything besides polynomials we can use the calculator for and get away with?

Do you have any tips for getting faster? I am trying to come up with ways of saving time. The Further maths exams seem like a speed test instead of a maths test. I usually get full marks on the questions that I attempt but I run out of time a lot. I usually complete 10/11 questions in a 15 question paper. When I try to write faster, I just end up making tons of silly mistakes or because I'm going too fast I don't think about the problem properly and make careless errors.

why doesn't e^(2x)u integrate to (1/2)e^(2x)u?

So what happes to the d/dx and the 2 that you factorised out? I get everything else but why did we "factorise" and then ignore those other bits?
