I remember Chinese motor scooters coming into the US years ago. They looked good and were very low priced. Only problem; after a year they looked like they had seen rough usage for 20 years. Then they disappeared from the market. The standard Chinese business model is “cheat, repeat as necessary “.

If Chinese cars are simple and easy to maintain (battery replacement warranty) and they are sold with a home solar recharging station, then those can be sold. The price for a simple EV with full cover vehicle replacement insurance cannot go over $10, 000. Thanks.
