People are over exaggerating with her ult. For post plant situations as shown in the video, gekko ult will do the exact same and has a bigger hit box, sova ult can stall much longer than deadlocks ult. You can actually run out of deadlocks ult if you take out your knife and react fast, that is not possible with gekko ult. Her wall is a worse sage wall and the slow molly is not very good either. Hertrap is incredible though imo. if you play her as a site anchor, especially if you have ult up and line ups, which probably aren't too hard to learn. Imo she is a kj that is a little better at stopping fast pushes, but with a worse ult and less map control since you can just shift through her traps.

i mean what's funny is that those reactions were exactly the same when gekko came out especially with his ult, pros and creators said it was overpowered that the ult (exaclty like deadlock) was gonna be OP, and here we are months later gekko almost never gets picked in pro play and is absolutely not broken, but eh, i guess people forget that every new agent

Not so hot take, she is actually underwhelming overall and def needs a buff.
First and foremost, the trailers and early videos always shows the agents powers and ideal situations. Counterplay is often ignored.
Her ult can be dodged, which is a big downside even in 1v1. Also, if u r not alone, people can destroy it, not to mention yoru clone and phoenix ult.
Her net is just an inferior fade seize and if u dodge initial explosion, u r safe. Also, all movement abilities counter it.
Her cage is inferior sage wall as u can shoot right through it. Prob only ability that may require new way of thinking.
Her sonar trap is the worst trap if u r going solo senti and u can hear it if u go near it. Also, u can destroy it as it takes 1 sec to activate.

we have this discussion every time there’s a new agent bro. idk why anyone is even acting like her kit is so foreign outside of the ult. most of it is just a tweaked version of something else in the game

Deadlock Molly = Sage slow but plot twist, you have to crouch now and that’s why you’re slow
Deadlock Barrier = Sage Wall, throwable, but plot twist, you can see and shoot through it
Deadlock Sensor = Chamber Trip but with Cypher trip hit properties, and plot twist it’s off audio cues not a visual one

Her ult looks good if you aren’t dumb and use it like Brim ult but dude we get three agents a year and we still mainly use like 10-15 regularly in pro play, how is there even a worry about too many lol

last actual exciting release was probably fade bc we needed a new initiator but after harbour i saw quite a few people wanted that to be it for a while. new maps and balancing things that need t o balanced would probably be better than adding more things to balance imo

Said the same thing about gekko, harbor, chamber and neon lol and the only one nerfed has been chamber. She’ll be insta locked for a month and then go down to a normal pick rate

Honestly Deadlock is an amazing addition to the game. When you think about it the most underwhelming agents in the game are now viable counters specifically yoru and pheonix and even chamber. The yoru clone can be caught by the ult and in the concussion trap that which is a huge opportunity for him to come back along with pheonix being able to ult and bait out the ult / remove all deadlocks other tech and chamber can tp out of all of it. Honestly huge W by riot to create more opportunities for all agents.

really i think fanatic are just going to be dominant until they fall off. i mean like if a player gets dropped or becomes depressed of if they just suddenly suck. were just going to have to wait until the team itself falls apart because in its current state i cant see anyone beating them. Congrats, they deserved masters.

I'm so confused, in a 1v1, Raze ult plays basically the same as this ult, so does brim ult (granted you know where they are and they can't escape). I haven't put much thought to this so I don't understand why these pros are getting so frustrated about that. Fair enough they don't want a kajillion new abilities but when they complaining about one that can do the same as a Raze ult, it's a bit exaggerated

I think a relevant potential nerf would just be instead of dying after, the cocoon just releases you and thats that like a gekko ult. Obviously not much difference in a 1v1 but in other situations might be more balanced, like a gekko ult again.

The only other thing I can think is if yorus clone can get caught by deadlock maybe gekkos wingman too. Maybe they wanted to buff gekko and yoru indirectly

I feel it should be similar to Brim’s ult in terms of escaping from the bubble it forms and seems to be like Sova’s ult in terms of the line already.

You tap the spike and have a 50-50 chance of getting out in time.
