Both gun have their strength. If you peaking a long distance, you want a Vandal in your hand. If you want to spam bullets in the smoke, you want a Phantom. Vandal will give away your position.

I use both depending on the character I'm using. I mostly use Omen and Kay-o. If I use Omen, I use phantom so I don't give away my position when flanking or teleporting and you cant see where phantom shots are coming from while near sighted. With Kay-o I use a vandal because you can't see bullet tracers while flashed and they're probably gonna know where I am anyway due to my utility giving away my positioning.

Vandal-One taps, Wall Bangs and for Long range maps
Phantom- Spraying on the Smoke, No tracer bullets and Good for spray Transfer.

I like the phantom more because it has a better shooting line it doesn't fire all over the place like when you're running, it doesn't spray randomly it has a somewhat of a radius you can control

as a vandal user i instantly regret buying a phantom when i click people in the head and they click me back once with the vandal lol

depends on your and enemy team compositions as well as the map, your plan for the round, your playstyle etc.

The lack of spray patterns on the game makes me choose the vandal. At least I know if I tap I can reliable get a headshot.

I love the phantom when I play omen, the spray is much more consistent then the vandals for me.

I use phantom when it's going to be close quarters, but the moment fights are going to be beyond 30 meters i will try go vandal

What he means about valorant being random is the first shot accuracy deviation meaning your bullets can actually at random deviate from your crosshairs. If you’ve ever swear you’ve been on someone’s head and didn’t kill them it’s probably cause of that. The phantom has a smaller first shot accuracy deviation meaning all the shots are closer to the crosshair than the vandal

I also love using the phantom, to me it feels more stable and ive gotten headshots through smokes but when I first started playing, my bf would tell me to buy vandal instead

Two important reasons you should pick phantom:

Doesn't give away your exist position when shooting through utility, which is important in higher elos when there's almost always smokes to play around.

Even if you hit 149, the higher fire rate makes up for it.
