Tip from a deadlock main!

Deadlocks sensors aren’t always meant to watch flanks! I think it’s best to put them on places where there’s guaranteed sound, such as on spike, or through doors on lotus, and maybe even the zipline on fracture (when that comes back…)

There's a funny thing about these not-so-played agents, which is when someone plays really well with one of them the opponent literally says: "Yo, wtf I do now, I never played against this agent before".

You playing ten hours with DeadLock is like making others see an urban legend or myth in person at this point lmao

As a deadlock main, i think your conclusion is correct. The trips arnt mained for info, its an anti entry device. I live how you learned to play off the ult too! I wish i was a higher rank.

As one of the few people who likes to play deadlock, one key note about her kit is punishing predictability. Play where the enemy likes to play and punish them, that's the key to deadlock.

some tips, u gotta learn lineups, her gravnet is sososososososo good for taking site, take entry-ing ascent a, the molly is so big it can hit gen and behind dice and that's two angles you don't need to worry about until you get up close to site, also, wall lineups can be very useful, i have another one on ascent a that blocks off all of tree, you need to push out to break it and it makes it impossible to peak site from cubby until it's broken, also, for her trips, there are lots of spots that enemies can't go without making sound, any place you have to drop from, and planting/diffusing the spike, dropping from rafters a and b on split, hookah on bind b, heaven ascent a and lane ascent b, you have to make noise to drop site which means anyone going to those areas get concussed instantly, out of map ult lineups are also a thing, you could be playing well away from spike and still be able to ult it, basically a 7 point brim ult, learning lineups with deadlock is key seeing as she has 3 throwable/aim-able abilities, she's situational yes, but she can also solo-hold a site if you play off her trips and funnel people into them, heck, one of her voicelines goes along the lines of funnel them to me!", uh oh, 1v2, you hear them running you down from two different angles, molly one angle and wideswing the 2nd then hold/swing the first when they take off the net!

I watch a lot of deadlock videos and seeing someone else play her for (assumingly) the first time is really cool :D

I think deadlock is definitely one of the funner sentinel agents to play and definitely more active in comparison. There's a lot less waiting around in comparison to other sentinels, but she's definitely a little underpowered in comparison. But her ult is still one of the most fun ones to use

I don't main deadlock but i play her often so here is a cool tip i know:

Ceiling sensors. There are some parts of the map that you can put sonic sensors above a ceiling, (Haven garage, Icebox B site beside the rope, etc.) and by flicking down when putting it, then it will detect the sounds even if its above a ceiling! (If your trip is facing downwards diagonally you did the right thing)

Boni is by far the greatest Deadlock main ever and uses her abilities pretty valuable. What I always do with Deadlock's barrier is always throw them at the hallways connecting defenders and attackers immediately. Doing so, you might slow them down, know how many enemies are there (based on how many gun u can hear shooting it) and guarantee noone sneaks up on you while you focus on a different angle.

She is best used on Sunset and Ascent.

Honestly, all of the deadlocks I’ve seen are cracked out, so idk why people say she isn’t viable. Like I always see deadlocks get aces.

I like Deadlock, personality wise she’s probably my favorite agent. I’d love to play her more but with where she is it’s hard to really use her
Also the whole Deadlock’s ult being the favorite. It’s so fun just watching someone literally getting pulled and her line is so cool

as a deadlock main this is my tips
Attack:
- Use Stuns for post plant in the areas where enemies will retake from or next to bomb so can swing off potential defuse, just play off stuns for free kills and messing up retake timings
- be aware of potential flank timings created by enemy accountability or deduction (stuns or wall on flank is useless)
- Grav net areas where enemies typically like to peek or play in so scaling up can be done more safer/ free kills
- use wall to block uncomfortable retake chokes so u don’t have to worry about it immediately
Defense:
- Aggressive stuns are placed near choke to discourage hard rushing and punish it
- Defensive stuns are placed on common enemy pathways/ backsite gunfight areas in the site (this is for when you want them to get in on site but you make it hard for them to take backsite which creates stall and multi kills
- grav net is either used on retake to help rescale a site or to deny follow ups (when jett dashes out, u net the choke to deny jetts trade and completely stop the site hit, leaving jett alone and leaving enemies open to smoke spam
- wall is either used as a choke deny very early in round or to rotate, both ways are used so that u can play in other areas without worrying about your site
- wall can also be used like that sage wall in that pro match on ascent (u hear enemies A Main, u wall cat so u can focus on a site without worry of a split
- wall can also be used as a route deny, say u wall lane on b site ascent, u force them to go switch and stairs
- u can also use grav net aggressive in chokes for potential eco pushes, might wanna combo with a flash or sum doe

as someone who is also a cypher main, she is a nice selfish pic to which u can get kills off your utility. upsides, her stuns are harder to break and have potential of hitting multiple people and having a higher radius of effect. her net is very useful for scaling site and dealing with potential enemies floods. granted cypher has smokes to play around and good intel with cams and flank watch, it just depends on your playstyle and whether u want deadlocks agro/def playstyle or cyphers info/site control and better lurks.

Deadlock’s ability to play off her sensors is what makes her so amazing, when someone gets stunned they almost immediately panic and it can let you kill a vandal user with a ghost, her grenade paired with any other molly is a death sentence, her walk can be used to force the enemy crosshair into the wrong area and her ult is a free kill

As a sentinel Deadlock has a unique strength now that cypher's trip rearm time has been nerfed. Fighting against a flood push onto site, since the stun effect is aoe, against a large group rushing your site you have significantly better odds of at least getting your one, especially considering that duelists will often donate a free kill by making a lot of noise entering onto site(Neon slide, Jett dash, Yoru Tp, Raze satchel).

i main deadlock. she is one of the highest skill cap agents in the game, but very rewarding.
for example, you can actually throw your wall onto an elevated platform, use the orbs on it as a meat shield, and pop people through the gaps!
her gravnet particles can allow you to see someone through smokes.
if you ult a phoenix ult, he's stuck for enough time to defuse or get to his respawn point.
her sensors can hit an entire TEAM at once, unlike cypher trips, making her much better at defense. they also stun them essentially instantly, and don't have a time where you can break them and not get stunned.
the fact that you can shoot through the wall is a blessing, not a bad thing!
for example, if i put my sensor below the drop out of hookah on bind, they fall through, and i throw my wall, they're fricking dead, even if they have smokes. they cant run, they cant really return fire that easily, and they're stunned on top of it all.
