I like my steaks rare, and got into a drawn-out argument with a waiter at my local restaurant. He said "I recommend you get the medium-rare", I said "okay, but I'd like the rare please", then he said "yes but I suggest you get the medium-rare", so I asked him "just tell me honestly, am I allowed to order it rare or is medium-rare the lowest you guys go?" and his response was "you're allowed to, but medium-rare is a better choice"
He just kept arguing until I submitted. The steak was nearly all gray inside

the worst are when a cut is medium rare perfectly and the comments say it’s still mooing. like do you eat most steaks well done???

also for steaks they’re safe to eat as long as you cook the outside since that’s where the bacteria lives.

for burgers not quite the same since it’s ground, so the pathogen can be inside the burger.

Steak people ruin steaks for me. I used to be one of the well-done enjoyers. I still enjoy a well-done every once and a while with some A1. Yeah, i like steak with A1, bite me. Then I started trying medium well and eventually medium steaks. Medium is probably my favorite. I'll eat Medium rare, but its not my favorite. There are so many pretentious steak eaters out there that shun people for their preferred temperature. And I really hate that. Let me enjoy my beef dammit
