What is Down Imaging and How to Read It | Humminbird

This video explains what Humminbird Down Imaging® is and how to read it. Down Imaging uses a razor-thin, high-frequency beam to create picture-like images of structure, vegetation, and fish. But unlike Side Imaging, Down Imaging returns are oriented identically to traditional, down-looking sonar returns - with the most-recent information appearing on the right side of the screen.

We also break down the differences in 455kHz and our MEGA Imaging+™ (1.2MHz) and their uses.

Humminbird MEGA is the absolute best and most clear and precise imaging! 👌🔥

We have been fish a pond that is only 20 ft deep. What settings would you recommend for 20 ft and shallower? Also the weeds are thick.covering the entire pond...

Has anybody used these for shipwreck hunting? This looks like a much more affordable way tahn a $30K+ side scan unit.

My helix 9 went black screen, service in Australia is awful, currently 7 weeks with no contact.... hard earned money apparently not well spent..
