Todays video is all about settings and interpretation of side imaging, down imaging and sonar. Being able to interpret what you are seeing is key to finding and catching fish throughout the season. Your graphs are the most important fish catching tools in your boat when it comes to walleye fishing. In this video I talk about using these 3 tools to find fish as well as talking about my settings to help me catch more walleyes. Walleye fishing is definitely a see fish catch fish scenario. Learn how to read your Humminbird and you will catch more walleyes this season.

Tom, hope you never get tired of sharing your knowledge and the same things over again and again. Guy’s like me that only get to fish a dozen times a year need the repetitive content.
Great stuff, always enjoy!!

Hummingbird should be paying you for this content. It's the best presentation of their technology I've ever seen. Extremely informative!

Tom I think everyone would like to see a video of the actual transducer on the back of your boat while in your garage and where you have it mounted, how you have it level, etc

Tom, you are by far, the most helpful Midwest fisherman! I love when you piece together what you are seeing on graph, with a technique. Keep up the great vids.

This video is the most excellent one I have ever seen. I am trying to learn this stuff. You broke it down so even a dope like me can understand it. I am retired now and I want to spend my time fishing in Washington state. This will help me. Thank you.

Excellent video, very informative. One thing to remember about side imaging is that when you set it for distance left and right that distance has to include the depth of the water from transducer to bottom as well. So when they say side imaging covers say 125ft, that includes the depth of the water you are in. In 25 ft of water, it would only cover 100ft either side. Side imaging goes straight down to the bottom, then fans out.

Maybe the best video ever made on using the three different types of sonar. This is the kind of information I have not seen on any other channel and will undoubtedly help a lot of people catch more fish.

Tom-. Thanks for sharing your awesome knowledge about walleye fishing and use of electronics. I watched this video and hit several famous walleye lakes in MN. I saw images on my Hummingbird Helix just like you showed. Hit the spot lock, pitched a leech on a slip bobber and boom- walleye hooked up! This happened repeatedly until I knew just what to look for!
This approach improved my walleye fishing immensely.
