There's another tactic to defeat the turks, leave a few divisions on the frontline in thrace and then, with the rest of your army (at least 7 units mins) go to Chios and the eastern-aegean islands. from there, bee-line straight up to Izmit to cut off constantinople. If done correctly, you can take over constantinople without much of a fight and encircle the entirety of the turkish-thrace forces
