I'm so glad Avril was convinced to include this song! She stated how she didn't want to include this song cause she wanted the album to be more fun and upbeat but the guys she was working with one of them being I think Travis Barker convinced her to include it and I'm glad they did! The album wouldn't feel complete to me without a song like this. The more I listen to it, the more I really love this song!

This album is so underrated and it doesn’t deserve to be with tracks like these. “Dare to Love Me” is such a beautiful ballad that hits so close to home as a hopeless romantic forced to to put up walls after being hurt so many times. I cry listening to this. It’s so hard to fall in love or accepting love after seeing it fall apart constantly.
