Different regions of Mexico use Mitch-é-lotta to describe completely different drinks. You guys got it right, but in other parts it means a Bloody Beer (clam and tomato juice cocktail, Mexican hot sauce, chili powder, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and half lime at the bottom of the glass and another floated on top, all over ice). This is the hangover cure popular in California, although, it may work without the Mexican lager. That’s too responsible, though.

Yes, in the US, we have a brand called "Pedialyte." It is intended for children, hence the name (a portmanteau of pediatric and electrolyte)

Pedialyte as in pediatric, for children with dehydration/diarrhea. Apparently now it is also used by adults for dehydration too.
