About this channel: Welcome to my channel. I'm Amber Smith. My husband Granger and I live on a little farm in central Texas with lots of animals and our beautiful, super funny kiddos. We have London, Lincoln, River (who is now with Jesus) and Maverick. This channel is a spin off of our family vlog The Smiths.

I started Arise, when we lost our son, to share my feelings of loss, grief, love, hope, parenting and my faith journey along the way. We comb through scripture, I share what the Lord puts on my heart, I answer questions and more. My hope through Arise is that something I say makes you want to seek Jesus. He changed my life and my heart when I was in my 30s and I've been sharing the good news ever since.

Lord Jesus, you know that of myself I can do nothing without you. Father please give me strength. These past three years have been difficult on me I am weak and losing hope. At times I feel so alone especially as a single mom. Since suffering a heart attack two years ago and my on going battle with lupus I’m overwhelmed and discouraged. I’m still struggling to support my children and myself. Being a single mom is challenging. Especially because both of my sons are autistic and now that I’m homeschooling them my hours to work are limited. But even as I struggle to pay rent and I struggle to buy groceries. I KEEP FAITH! Lord please protect me and my sons from homelessness. Amen.

I read the bible about two to three times a day. It's like starting my day with a cup of coffee. I want to have a closer relationship with God and understand the events that occurred. I want to learn how to apply scripture to my life and continue to walk in the light. God's word is so empowering and very active in my life.

Amber, my husband and I are estranged from our two adult sons. We have 3 grandchildren that we love dearly, but they are being used as pawns. We can only see the grandchildren when our daughter in law is not mad at us. Please pray for reconciliation of our family. It has been about two years and we truly miss our children and grandchildren.

Amber, I read the Bible every day because I want to know God more. We need to know the Word to keep us on the right path. I do read the Bible every morning before breakfast. My Bible has a reading plan for reading the Bible through in a year.

Great teaching.l read God’s word for 30 to 45 minutes, 3to4 times a week. I read it to get to know God better And have communion with him. We should pray God would give us a hunger and thirst for Him and His word. I would suggest that new believers read the New Testament a couple of times through before diving into the old testament. The New Testament tells us the story of Christ and the beginnings of the Christian church. The New Testament is only about 200 pages long. Looking at the whole Bible can be intimidating for new believers. The old testament is important, but if all we had was the New Testament, it would be enough. Thank you Amber.

Amber, this was another excellent Arise. I try to read the Bible every day, preferably first thing. That's not only where I learn more about God and His Word, but I try to see how that particular scripture applies to my life. Prayer is also a part of this time with Him, and I ask for direction for my day. Sometimes that day's scripture correlates directly to my current circumstances, or even the activities of that particular day.

I read everyday through the m’Cheyne plan after hearing you talk about it and I love it! I use the app on my phone to track but use a physical bible to read so I can note and highlight! I love it and make it one of the first things I do everyday!

Good morning Amber and Arisers. My Bible reading is not what it should be as most weeks I only open it for church or for podcast Bible study with Chad. The other week Amber you challenged us to read the book of John so I did it within that week between physically reading and finishing it with listening as I was on a road trip. I ask prayer today for a few different folks. My friend Laura in Scotland is dealing with stress and anxiety over her mother's health who is in hospital and not doing well, my friends Nadine and Donny in Michigan as he battles terminal cancer, my friend from church Nancy and her husband Fallon as they pray and wait for a kidney to become available for him and lastly for my friend Francine and her family on the recent death of her adult son.

I finished reading the Bible and have started to reread it. The more I read the more I want to read the word. God bless us all this week 🙏🏻
