✍️ Summary:
15. Increased Heart Rate

An increased heart rate is one of the first things that happens when you have B12 deficiency. The heart beats faster to compensate for the lack of red blood cells in your body. Your heart is busy making sure the body is getting enough oxygen where it needs it. Especially vital organs like the brain and liver. They need a regular supply of oxygen which is why the heart beats faster to provide sufficient oxygen.

14. Easy Bruising

Another common symptom of Vitamin B12 deficiency is easy bruising. Your body won't be able to manage without red blood cells. You can also bruise easily if you have a calcium or Vitamin C deficiency. A blood test is a simple way to find out whether or not you have this deficiency to begin with.

13. Pale Skin

Having pale skin is often associated with jaundice, but Vitamin B12 deficiency could be to blame. Lack of Vitamin B12 means a lesser supply of red blood cells in the body. This slows down the process of cell building and prevents cells from dividing. Without sufficient red blood cells in your body, there isn't enough circulation of oxygen leaving you with pale skin.

12. Fatigue

One of the most necessary components to make red blood cells is Vitamin B12. Red blood cells are vital as they transport oxygen throughout your body. When there are not enough red blood cells, there will not be enough oxygen. As a result, you will feel intense fatigue.

11. Glossitis

Glossitis is a condition where you will feel a burning sensation in your mouth. Apart from that your tongue will become smooth and the taste buds will disappear.

Your tongue will also become red, swollen and painful. Some studies have concluded that glossitis is linked with Vitamin B12 deficiency. Some people have faced other issues like an inflamed tongue, or another form of a mouth ulcer.

10. Blurred Vision

When not treated, B12 deficiency can affect your optic nerves. You will likely experience disrupted or blurred vision. The next time you feel like you can't see properly, get your B12 level checked.

I bruise really badly. Found out I had an Iron deficiency. Ferritin < 9
Not sure why; heavy periods or malabsorption.
( parent with anklosing spondylitis and celiac disease.)
Was already struggling - with Ataxia and shortness of breath, tachycardia for unknown reasons and worsening lifelong erythromelalgia.

Pots syndrome/ dysautonomia. Had other deficiencies, did b12 injections as a precaution. Couldn't fathom why I was still symptomatic.

Still didn't know why I had ataxia. Still bruising now and got my ferritin to 50 from < 9.
Suspect spinal arthritis AS which may explain the Iron deficiency.

Tried vit C tablets and it really helped re Iron deficiency and the bruising. Still struggling. 1000mg daily.

Lifelong history of ocd, unexplained anxiety and pots type symptoms. Symptoms of b1 deficiency.

I am walking now after paralysis and ataxia. Think i have brain damage. Still have Erythromelalgia, SEVERE pots or dysautonomia, neurological symptoms. Heart issues. Tachycardia. Still fatigued, where it's immobilising. Thinking difficulties. MS like symptoms. Excessive sweating.
Suspect deficiencies possibly b1 or b6, as multi complex helps, and not b12 tablets or jabs alone.

Can any med students or real smart asses, send pointers as to what might be wrong?
Autoimmune diseases that cause erythromelalgia?

Any smart people out there that would help ? 😐 I've been battling since 13 or 14, symptoms have been progressive. I am 34 now, and close to giving up, taking my life as a last resort. I don't believe this is just pots. Mri shows spinal arthritis, not MS. Symptoms mimick ms. Probably more than 1 condition going on.

I had gullian barr at 17.5 years of age which caused locked in syndrome. Paralysis. Breathing difficulties.

Before constant MS like symptoms and pots, not diagnosed as MS. Unlikely to be MS. Symptoms have been horrific even so. I've had ataxia and memory issues and MS like symptoms

Erythromelalgia is very apparent, redness especially if circulation hampered. Poor perfusion of blood. If sit on leg or foot it becomes red and numb, I am not overweight.

I know this is YouTube but i don't know where to get help
My NHS Dr in the uk didn't even know what erythromelalgia is ! 😢 i feel broken like giving up now 💔

Thanks

We need to pay attention to the sources of vitamin B12 from our diet.

Is there anything in particular that blocks b12? Emotional Stress, celiac, energy drink consumption constantly?

Also the trend Is b12, very little said on other b vit deficiencies that cause similar signs

I need to buy certain supplements, again, which is also a B12 supplement. They're expensive. However. They are worth it because of great quality and quantity.
