There is a *complimentary* maintenance program? When why was my dealer trying to upsell me to $2k for a 2-year maintenance plan?!

I always feel wasteful of energy when breaking. Can we have hybrids to recover breaking energy?

I researched, drove, and thought long and hard about this van. In the end, I didn't go with it. It drives like a van should. It's competent. The seats were comfortable. Honda does minivans very well. Still one of the best. What got me was the dated styling. Now styling is subjective. I know that. Some don't even care about it, as long as it gets there safely. I get it. But I care about styling. What Honda didn't do was to put effort into it. They got lazy and complacent. That's why the body style has not changed in 7-8 years. The interior desperately needs an overhaul and they didn't do it last year, nor did they do it this year. The infotainment center looks like it was designed and built in 2015. It's dated. The graphics are borderline insulting compared to some of the others. Again, if you don't care about those things, then this should be at the top of your list. But Honda lost a lot of customers to Kia (Carnival) because Kia looks modern, it has a lot of tech, and it's a fresh design with all the top tech. It just gave you more for the dollar than the Honda.

I need a reliable van...not glamour vans like carnivals...and pacificas that will be in the shop most if their time...all that glitter...The sienna is the only true competitor!

The review concerns the Honda Odyssey, but the text refers to the Honda Ridgeline.

First, it's "decent" gas mileage then it's "superb". Hmmm. And "superb leg room" in the front seat? No. The little Subaru Crosstrek as 3 more inches (40" vs. 43").

How come Honda doesn’t make the hybrid van? Come on now

its a great van but 4-things are so frustrating. its critical deal-breakers. and those 4-things are: 1. no pano-roof option. 2. no awd option. 3. no 360-view cam option. 4. still silly timing belt instead of timing chain. come on honda, .. make it happened in next 6-th gen odyssey. honda please listen to customers. you need those 4-things.
