Volkswagen's management has said that it wants to shut down automobile plants inside Germany. This would be a first for the company. It has never shut down a German plant before. Volkswagen hasn't shut down any plant since 1988. But in the face of the Electric Vehicle Age and the rise of Chinese EV companies, Volkswagen is struggling to remain afloat.
