It's a nice plant but if you over fertilize it won't produce to well... they like very hot temps but with partial shade .. I'm in Iowa.. I find that they get leggy here (zone 5) if they are in pots and watering becomes hard to keep up so I put them in the ground and they do much better there for me... I grow them mainly to make my own sofrito but they can Be used in anything you'd normally use bell peppers .. they don't get much bigger than what you have now but they ripened from green to yellow
.. orange then red . 😊

Gorgeous plant, mine is fully loaded and growing in shade since my balcony aims North in sunny Miami, I help it a bit with a 36 watts LED (the pink kind) light. This harvest will product somewhere around 5 dozens. Of course growing without direct sunlight exposure all processes take more time, I would say about double. But AJI DULCE (AHEE-DOUL-SEH) has such a great flavor.!!!

I'm trying growing aji cachucha in zone 3 (-40 during winter months), so I started the seeds indoors and now I am patiently waiting for them to grow and the weather to get nicer, so I can take them outside :)

My ají dulces are producing very well in my zone 7 garden. Lots of peppers and big but no hint of yellow/orange/ red yet.

Thanks. Can you tell me how to fertilize this plant? My 5-gallon plants give tons of peppers, but they are not big. Thanks in advance.

Okay, first of all -- nice plant. Good job. Second of all, and this is a bit of a pet peeve -- but this is not pronounced "dolche." It's not Italian. It's Spanish. It's dulce -- as in "dull-say." :D But otherwise, it's nice. I have ají dulce #3, growing aeroponically at home, in Iowa, since I'm Puerto Rican, and we cook with it every day...
